Our Story
Built in 1991, G&L Storage has always been family owned and operated. Founded by Apollo Corapi on the principles of integrity and dedication to customer service, the facility has served the Space Coast for nearly 35 years. Having already founded several successful businesses locally, Apollo sought a way to give back to the community that had supported his family for so many years. Identifying a growing need for affordable, secure storage, he constructed the facility’s first building and as the need grew in the community, he added on.
The name G&L – drawn from the names of his daughters, Gina and Lori – served both as a personal tribute and a reminder of the values he believed should guide the business. Safety, integrity, and service to others shaped how the facility was operated and how customers were treated. Over time, Apollo expanded the property to include additional buildings, RV and boat storage, and air-conditioned units.
In 2013, Gina and Lori purchased the facility from their father and assumed full ownership and responsibility for its operation. Building on the foundation already in place, they oversaw a number of improvements, including enhanced lighting, upgraded security systems, and ongoing facility maintenance. Gina and Dave managed the day-to-day operations for the next decade, becoming a familiar presence to many long-time customers and helping guide the facility through a period of modernization and growth.
After nearly ten years at the helm, Gina and Dave relocated to Arizona, and Lori stepped into the role of managing daily operations. As the facility entered its fourth decade, attention turned toward preserving and improving the property itself. Under Lori’s stewardship, major projects – including roof replacements, unit refurbishments, and further upgrades to the surveillance system – have ensured the facility continues to meet the needs of the community it serves today.
Today, G&L Storage continues as a locally owned and family operated facility, focused on providing reliable, secure storage for the community it serves. While the property and its systems have evolved over time, the day to day approach remains practical and hands on, with an emphasis on maintaining the facility and providing responsive, personal customer service. Looking ahead, the focus remains steady, continuing to care for the property, support customers directly, and serve the Space Coast communities with the same attention and responsibility that have defined G&L Storage from the beginning.
